Managing the move

The MC is now unanimous that the move will go ahead. You've got sole responsibility for managing the move, but you have to respect the ethos of the LCC and make sure that all the different groups involved in Centre – the youth group, the pensioners' campaigning group, the gay rights service and the mother & toddlers group – have their say. You've developed a proposal outlining what you think the requirements for the new premises should be.

What do you do now?

  1. Tell each person to come to you individually and tell you what they'd like – you'll make sure you're always available for a chat

  2. Ask each volunteer to fill in a detailed questionnaire about their needs and hopes for the future

  3. You think it will be too complicated to involve everyone particularly since the MC have made it clear you're in charge
