Making a move
The Lumbard Community Centre (LCC) is a thriving organisation
with a youth group, a pensioner's campaigning group,
a gay rights service and a mother & toddler's group.
There are about forty volunteers overall. Each group
has a representative on the Management Committee (MC).
You are the only staff member.
The LCC building is about to be redeveloped by its
owners, and the MC has given you sole responsibility
for finding new premises. There are time and financial
restraints. Also, you must ensure that a consensus is
reached among all the user groups - this is an important
ethos of the LCC.
Your aim is to explore the different kinds
of decision-making involved in the move, which is in
three stages. Follow each step of the process in turn.

Management Committee:
'It would be great if you could sort this
out. Y'know, make sure everyone's on board.
It could be a really stressful time, and
we don't want to loose anyone in the move.
Its over to you.'
