How to explore 'diversity'

Diversity is a bit of a buzz-word at the moment. But what is it? Is your organisation diverse? How can you make it more diverse? Exploring each section of 'diversity' will give you some answers.

Working It Out, from the BBC TV series voluntary matters 3, features three case studies about diversity. See the programme summary.

The case studies are first-hand accounts of how other organisations approach diversity.

The scenario is the most innovative section, where you can explore how you'd deal with diverse interviewees who want to volunteer for your organisation, without having to test it out in real life!

In groups or training sessions explore diversity further with the activities.

Find a summary of the key principles in the checklist.

Share your opinions and experiences in the discussion.

Resources lists useful weblinks and publications.
