Introduction to the case studies

In each case study, people explain how they deal with being leader. Like the voluntary matters 3 TV programme, Light My Fire, the case studies encourage you to learn from the experiences of others.

The first case study features John Bird, director of The Big Issue (who also appears in the programme). The second features Helen Bamber, director of The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, and the third features Ann Pettifor, who was the director of the Jubilee 2000 movement.
